Still Life No. 7
"Still Life No. 7" is a duet for choreographers and performers, Lauren Simpson and Jenny Stulberg. This new work experiments with sounds, text, video, and a single source light. Following the performance will be a short discussion about what you just saw and larger questions of art and performance. Each talkback will be on a different topic.
Saturday April 28 at 8pm: "Still Life No. 7" followed by discussion on "Audience's Perspectives and Engagement." Moderated by Dance Critic and Scholar, Michelle LaVigne.
Sunday April 29 at 3pm: "Still Life No. 7" followed by discussion on "Dance and Visual Art." Moderated by Megan Brian from SFMOMA.
Sunday April 29 at 7pm: "Still Life No. 7" followed by discussion on "Artists' Process and How a Dance Gets Made." Moderated by Choreographer, Christy Funsch with Maurya Kerr, Arletta Anderson and Adam Smith.
Entire event (show plus discussion) will be capped at 1 hour 15 minutes.
