Valentine's Latin Dance Night w/Robertico Arias y su Alebreke

Join us for our first-ever Valentines Latin dance night featuring live music from the six-piece ensemble Robertico Arias y su Alebreke! Dominican Latin percussionist, vocalist and bandleader Luis Robertico Arias has been performing professionally since his teens. He has toured internationally with such bands as Los Hijos del Rey, El Equipo de Dioni Pernandez, Boni Cepeda, The New York Band and La Gran Manzana, and recorded with such artists as David Byrne. Robertico is also a tireless educator, working with a wide range of students from elementary school-aged students in community music programs up to university students and adults. He and his band Alebreke have become Rhode Island institutions with their energy-filled performances of salsa, bachata, cha cha and merengue. Whether you attend with the love of your life or for the love of live music, all are welcome to enjoy the music from their seats or on the dance floor.

Audience members are invited to join us for a preshow salsa lesson with FloorTime Studios dance instructor Sara Barker from 7:15-7:45pm. The lesson is free with admission.

This show will take place at Common Fence Music's Portsmouth Mainstage, an intimate 200 seat listening room located at Common Fence Point Hall, 933 Anthony Road, Portsmouth, RI. Doors open at 7pm, the show begins at 8pm. All Portsmouth shows are BYOB & picnic. Please note: A limited number of tables will be available for this performance as we need to allow space for the dance floor.
