Whiskey School
Our whiskey school offers courses for all levels. We have classes for connoisseurs, and others for beginners who are simply curious to learn more.
Led by Heather Greene, New York's first official whiskey Sommelier and Director of Whiskey Education, classes will be carefully tailored under her extensive experience in teaching to a wide variety of students over the past 8 years. She is one of the world's only female whiskey experts and was recently featured in the NY Post as "New York's Dame of Drinks." You will walk away with both a pronounced appreciation for whiskey and a light skip in your step after one of these fun and dynamic courses.

Bourbon and Bluegrass Monday's started when the staff at the Flatiron got together to ponder the ways in which our beautiful stage could be put to use in a celebration of American whiskey. Our Mondays will now herald our national spirit and a musical genre that sprung forth from the hopes and dreams of men and women who immigrated to this great country. Many of us here are also writers, actors, poets, musicians, and of course, whiskey lovers. We appreciate fine craft, and we believe that you will too!
Scotch 101

So you thought all Scotch was smokey and peaty? Do you know what peat is or smells like? Did you know that there are over 90 distilleries in Scotland who make whiskies that do not feature smoke or peat? After taking this class, you'll understand peat's role in the production of Scotch, as well as completely understand concepts like cask-strength, chill filtration, and other bottle-label snippets. Around the World in an Hour or So

This class will explore the fabulous whiskies coming out of places like India, Tasmania, Scandanavia, France, and yes, even Utah. We'll see which whiskey earns an olympic gold whiskey medal and make international lovers out of all of us. Appetizers provided.

Naked Whiskey Class

Curious about white whiskey? We'll taste 6 white whiskies, discuss the concept of "moonshine," and have some cocktails made up to uncover the best in this new arena. Clothing optional, bar snacks provided.
