Ever wondered what a cello octet might sound like? Interested in string instruments and music from different cultures? This recital is for you! We are pleased to be co-presenting with Sound of Dragon, and to feature Bo Peng (cello), Cellissimo, Lan Tung (erhu) & the talented young string players of theRichmond Delta Youth Orchestra, conducted by Jonathan Der. The repertoire will include Goldfish by Mark Armanini, Ziggurat no. 2 by Farshid Samandari, Flower Bloom & Fall by Bruce Bai, Bachianas Brasileiras no. 1 byHector Villa-Lobos, and two pieces by Lan Tung: Double Happiness andFrom the Stars.
