Davis Parent University lecture series continues with: How to Help Your Kids Say NO Prevention & Understanding of Drugs and Alcohol Saturday , March 9th, 9-11:30am, Brunelle Theater, Davis High School Learn how to: Effectively communicate with your child/ teen Prevent Drug and alcohol use & abuse Impact of substances on the developing mind Featured Speakers : Dean Blumberg, PhD, LMFT Adolescent & Family Programs Manager, Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Chemical Dependency Recovery Program. An expert in the field of adolescent development. Dean uses humor and years of clinical experience to teach about healthy and unhealthy risk taking and the adolescent mind.
Jon Daily, LCSW, CADC II Founder & Clinical Program Director of Recovery Happens Counseling Services of Fair Oaks. Author of : "How to Help Your Child Become Drug Free" and "Addiction". With an informative and direct approach, Jon will educate us on trends, friends, family history, drugs of today and Alcohol and the brain.
