May DCAVS Lunch & Learn: "The What Program??" Working with Recruitment/Placement Agencies
"The What Program??" Working with Recruitment/Placement Agencies Haven't we all recited these words, "The What Program?" from time to time after being overwhelmed with hearing about the wealth of opportunities we have to partner with recruitment/placement agencies in the community? There are many great programs that can make a positive impact on our programming by offering generous volunteer power, but which one fits your needs?
This DCAVS Lunch & Learn will focus on benefits with working with these agencies, shared experiences with the programs, parameters and requirements of the programs, and time commitments for both the volunteer/service member and the volunteer coordinators. We plan on discussing the following programs: RSVP, AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps VISTA, College Internships, the Morgridge Center (Badger Volunteers), Time Bank, WISE Program, Wisconsin Works (W-2), Urban League, and Service Instead of Jail. DCAVS Members with experience working with each of these programs will be sharing their expertise in a round robin small group format allowing for deeper discussion and sharing.
YOU MUST BUY OR RESERVE TICKETS BEFORE 4PM WEDNESDAY, May 8 so that we are able to notify the venue the number of attendees. If you have questions about the registration process contact Ms. Shawn Steen via shawn@litnetwork.org or (608) 244-3911. Thanks!
