What is interdisciplinary work and how is it being used to add value to historical interpretation? The HGSA conference seeks to answer this question by addressing how collaboration among academic fields of study benefits our craft as historians. While economic and social history have factored heavily into historical interpretation, there is a growing need for more creative and nonconventional approaches to studying the past. Building channels of dialogue among disciplines establishes broad-based intellectual communities where scholars can exchange concepts and methodologies, enhancing historical research.
The conference will be located at the Campus Center on the University of Massachusetts Boston. The event will take place on March 9th, from 8AM - 5PM.
