KLARINET KALEIDOSCOPE
The Los Angeles Clarinet Choir--17 clarinetists performing on soprano, sopranino, alto, bass, and contrabass instruments--led by Founder/Conductor Margaret Thornhill and Associate Conductor, Victoria Ramos, presents a program of classical, world and jazz-inpsired original works and arrangements!
The program includes: sizzling salsa, "Paquito" by Andy Scott, featuring soloist Christin Hablewitz; Gustav Holst's perenniel "St. Paul Suite" arranged by Russell Denwood; outrageously funky "Kaleidoscopic Pocket Hockets Boogaloo" for 10 bass clarinets by Arthur Gottschalk; virtuosic "A Butterfly Coughs in Africa" by Paul Richards; "Chorale and Danza" by Vaclav Nelhybel; British composer Martin Ellerby's swing-dance tribute to the Chicago "L", "Looping the Loop - A Chicago Hop" and more!
Children under 12 are free for this event and do not need tickets.
