Catalyst Kitchens Train-the-Trainer Immersion Workshop for Frontline and Culinary Staff
Do you have a culinary background, but are new to social services? Do you wonder how to evaluate your students? Want guidance on how to support their growth and learning?
Join us for the Train the Trainer Workshop with Program Development Manager, Justin Smith.
Justin has seen first-hand the complicated nature of translating professional kitchen experience into effective teaching and hands-on training practices. This workshop will give chefs and front-line instructors the tools and techniques to effectively coach, teach, and provide critical feedback to their training populations.
Workshop Topics Include:
Coaching Champions: Creating a culture of learning
Teaching and Instruction Best Practices: Leading effective classroom and kitchen lessons for diverse learners
Evaluation Best Practices: Writing regular, effective, and useful student evaluations
The goal is to build a more person-centric language and approach to training that fosters stable growth and increases program retention. Attendees will leave more empowered to create and enhance their own lessons and assessments that fit the unique service populations across the Catalyst Kitchen Network.

*This cost is to cover the cost of meals, venue, and workshop material fees. Lunch will be provided both days and dinner on Thursday, March 22nd at FareStart's Guest Chef Night.
