The Colours of Compassion retreat - Healing Ourselves, Healing the World: A path of self care and engagement. 23rd - 25th Feb 2018
We are delighted to offer another Buddhist mindfulness retreat by Kaira Jewel Lingo for people of colour. In this retreat, along with our mindful practice (walking, eating, noble silence and sharing Dharma wisdom), we will cultivate tools for healing our pain, self-care and building community to nourish and sustain long-term peace and joy through on-going inner and outer transformation.
This retreat is for people of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME), mixed racial heritages and indigenous backgrounds/global majority. This includes people who come from African, Caribbean, Asian and Middle Eastern backgrounds, mixed-race and indigenous or mixed race of North, Central and South America, Australia, New Zealand.
Both new and experienced practitioners are welcome.
We gather together, as representatives of the global majority, to take refuge in a community practicing in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. Our daily practice will include meditation, sitting and walking, daily dharma talks, mindful meals in silence, group sharing, alongside with Qi Gong, InterPlay (a fun and creative improvisational) and body wisdom practice.
Practicing in this way will transform our pain, bring peace and healing for both ourselves and our world.
Refunds need event creator approval prior to processing.

Hallo, a very basic question? I assume the meals are vegetarian/vegan? Do we cook ourselves? |

Thank you for your query. Our meals will be vegan. You will not be expected to cook your own meal. We may ask for help fr volunteers in setting up for meals and clearing up, but we do this as part of our retreat, together and with love and joy |
