Rocker-T and 7th St. Band Jan 7 Seattle
Live Reggae Culture Show Sunday January 7, 2017 featuring ROCKER-T live with the 7th Street Band support from Selecta Matsui, Black Puma, and honorary guest Winston "Flames" Jarrett Doors open at 9 PM
Through his god-given talents, Brooklyn-bred ROCKER-T has been writing, living, and performing potent reggae hip-hop music since his high school days in the late 80's. As a pioneer bridging the underground NYC hip-hop and reggae scenes, Rocker T features prominently on the Skadanks stand-out 1994 album "Give Thanks" on Elektra Records. Moving forward to form the IRT band and cross-over to the Bay Area in 1998, Rocker-T has been a consistent positive cultural force on the US Reggae music scene. It's only by deepening his consciousness and by studying Nyahbinghi, tantric and daoist spiritual practices that Rastafari took precedence in the singer's life, leading Rocker-T on this epic mission to heal and teach with his inspired lyrics. The 7th Street Band out of Oakland, CA, are known as one of the Bay Area's best working reggae bands. Get ready for the real sounding tight reggae in an intimate space!
As a special musical treat, Selecta Matsui warms up the house Sound-System-style with MC duties shared by local talents Black Puma and Yaddi Bojia, and honorary roots reggae singer Winston "Flames" Jarrett
