For the third season, The Étude Sessions will heat up the winter with a great jazz show!

The Tony Castañeda Latin Jazz Sextet was founded in Madison, WI in 1998 and has been entertaining audiences throughout the Midwest with their renditions of classic and original Latin Jazz ever since. We are honored to welcome them back for a second season of The Étude Sessions.

Voted Madisons Favorite Jazz Band fourteen straight years by the Isthmus Readers Poll (2000-2014), and recipient of three Madison Area Music Awards (2005-2007) as Madisons best Latin Artist and best Latin Album (Viva el Cardinal and Mambo O Muerte) the Tony Castañeda Latin Jazz Sextet continues to impress and entertain audiences wherever they play.

They bring a little bit of tangelo scented heat to Madison through their traditional blend of congas, keyboards, trumpet, flute, saxophone, upright bass, timbales, and myriad small hand percussiontheir mambo was fiery hot, and their Tito Puente cover was dripping with lively sensuality. I cant wait to be warmed by this band in the cooler months.

Proceeds from The Etude Sessions ensure transformative experiences for students in the arts and academics. Students participate in college readiness programming, field experiences, creative writing festivals, dance workshops, and engineering in the community. The intention of The Etude Sessions is to ensure that Sheboygan has continued growth in "Good Music + Good Cause" - Thanks for being part of it!
