Wild meats are becoming more popular and many people are currently interested in alternatives to farmed meat such as road kill, but a lack of familiarity and butchery skills often put people off.
This one day course will be hands on and participants will butcher and prepare pheasants, partridge and duck before cooking them on an open fire at Youth Visions 18th Century farm steading in the Pentland Hills just outside Edinburgh.
The course will be facilitated by Chloe Hewatt. Chloe is one of the young people involved in Youth Vision's Staying on Track programme. She left the programme in summer to study a game keeping course at college. She is excelling at college and is excited to share her skills and knowledge with the wider community.
N.B Similar courses are charged at £130 per day!!
