Synthestesia
Synthestesia is a performance/collaboration combining electronic synthesizer music and expanded cinema film and video artists. The synthesizer in its many arrays and combinations is the 21st Century equivalent of the piano or mighty Wurlitzer organ when performed in conjunction with cutting edge experimental films and videos. Synthestesia started in 2016 by J.Lee as a community outlet for the ever growing SF Eurorack scene as a way to get talented synthesists out of their bedrooms and studios and in front of an appreciative audience. Film and video composed and currated by Linda Scobie and Faith Arazi, both members of Artist Television Access, provide the visual stimulus and transform the event into a synchronistic experience. We are very excited that Synthestesia will happen New Years Eve at the Victoria Theatre. On the bill are vetran composers Doug Lynner and Richard Marriott and local synth denizen capt J rab of the SF rock band the Rabbles. Experimental film and video artists Konrad Steiner, Faith Arazi, BlueGreen and Trancendentalism will be showing their works.
