The Mikado
Nanki-Poo, the son of the Mikado, has left his father's court after an unfortunate entanglement with Katisha, a mature lady of the court. He has fallen in love with Yum-Yum, who is the ward of Ko-Ko, the lord high executioner in the town of Titipu. Sadly, Yum-Yum is to marry Ko-Ko and so Nanki-Poo contemplates suicide.
As Ko-Ko has yet to execute anyone, he arranges a deal with Nanki-Poo that should satisfy all parties.
However, this is a Gilbert and Sullivan plot and several unforeseen events occur that will complicate the plans and leave the audience wondering what the outcome will be.
