An Evening of Middle Eastern and Balkan Music with the Zapion Sextet
For this special performance Zapion will be adding accordion and guitar to their traditional Middle Eastern quartet of oud, violin, darbuka and nay. The repertoire and instrumentation for this concert is inspired by the late oud master, Alan Shavarsh Bardezbanian's Middle Eastern Ensemble.
The Zapion Sextet is - Eric LaPerna, darbuka; Maria Wagner, nay and clarinet; Sarah Mueller, violin; Nathan Kolosko, oud; Leon Harkleroad, accordion and Gary Wittner on 7 string guitar.
