With a graduate degree in World Music from Wesleyan University, Mary Spaldinghas devoted the past 25 years to studying and performing steel drum music. She is passionate and precise in the genre and has performed in Trinidad with award-winning steel bands for the legendary Panorama steel band competitions and Carnival activities. Steel Jam will perform as a trio for this event. Enjoy the stellar playing in their concert, then small groups take turns learning to play - it's so much fun! We'll conclude with more music & you might find yourself out of your seat to dance to the infectious Caribbean & Latin beats.
