A Christmas Carol
Claybody Theatre are delighted to present A Christmas Carol.
Following it's sell out performance at The Wedgwood Institute last year, we are delighted to be bringing Dickens' A Christmas Carol back to life, this year at the Emma Bridgewater Factory, Hanley.
With words by Claybody's Deborah McAndrew and Music by Ashley Thompson of The Phoenix Singers, Leek. A Christmas Carol sees Dickens' classic tale retold through song without narration.
Ashley Thompson's music draws on a wide variety of styles some old, some new whilst also weaving well-loved carols that would have been known in Victorian England into the texture. The libretto, by award-winning playwright Deborah McAndrew, retains much of Dickens' original text.
Location: A Christmas Carol will be performed at the Meakin Room, Emma Bridgwater Factory, Lichfield Street, Hanley.
Be sure to come before the performance to enjoy a mince pie and drink in the lovely surroundings of the Emma Bridgewater Cafe.
TICKETS ARE STRICTLY LIMITED SO PLEASE BOOK EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT
