Revolutionary Christmas
It's Christmas 1776. As Philadelphia's most illustrious citizens and visitors gather for a service at Christ Church, they must balance the joy of the season with the fear of the Revolution. How did they do it?
Join Christ Church Historian and Senior Tour Guide Neil Ronk for a genuine colonial experience as he offers a Christmas tour that considers the angst and awe surrounding America's founders. Offered for three nights only, the candlelit trip through time will lead you under the original 1744 chandelier, past the pews of George Washington and Betsy Ross, and over the memorial tablets marking the burial vaults of early American families.
Located at 2nd and Market Street in Old City, Christ Church is one of Philadelphia's earliest buildings from the Revolutionary Era.
