Broadway Chamber Players - "The Call - a Brass Spectacular"
Friday, November 17, 2017
6:00 p.m.

For our second concert of the season, Broadway Chamber Players welcome ten of Broadways legendary brass players!

The Call representshow thepower ofbrass music has affected our societies across time. From early calls to attention, announcing a hunt or a battle, political declarations and social celebrations, to becoming the voice of American Jazz, brass instruments have the ability to raise us to our feet and to feel the infectious power of sound in a way only brass players can.

Join us for an incredible concert through time as we begin with the early evolutions of the instrument demonstrated by early horn specialists R.J. Kelly andThe Lion King's, Alexandra Cook. Four of Broadway's top trombonists will treat us to Beethoven's famed Drie Equali. Finally, the ensemble willgrow to a traditional brass quintet and feature works by Brahms, Debussy, Gershwin, and more!

Don't miss this incredible concert of sonic strength andbeauty at our home venue of St. Malachy's - The Actors' Chapel,a space soperfectly balanced for brass.
