EAST MEETS WEST with Ustad Shafaat Khan
The first half of this stunning program will be devoted to classical Indian music (solo tabla and sitar/vocal recital) from the 16th Century to the present. In the second half, maestro Khan will be joined onstage by Ruby Ostrow and Coco Bastienwhere theyll perform a fusion of Eastern and Western music, utilizing sitar, keyboards, tabla, and vocals to forge a bond between vastly different cultural traditions.This is a rare opportunity to hear a master musician at the height of his powers in a truly intimate setting.
