Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre spent 2017 exploring the way we live today - sometimes alone, sometimes together, sometimes it's hard to say. Our collective of artists - including Joe, Stu and Typhanie - hails from Chicago and Virginia, Australia and Argentina, and points in between. Their experience ranges from a globe-spanning choreography career to a Grammy nomination to 30 years as an American immigrant.
The result is 5 bold, inviting new works. We weave dance, music, and visual art together to explore the big questions that make our society hum. These pieces will be performed in full production by our full jazz band and dance ensemble at Alone/Together.
