THE NUTCRACKER NYC, A Contemporary Ballet by Giada Ferrone featuring students from Connecticut Dance Center
This full-scale 90-minute production is distinctive for uniting students & professionals from several dance communities from all over the New York City Tri-State area, while promoting the positive and powerful impact of dance on our fractured communities and creating a cast which is as truly international and diverse as New York City's own "Melting Pot".
THE SYNOPSIS
At her uncle's holiday party, young Clara meets an astonishingly gorgeous couple, a mysterious gentleman and a tiny hungry spider. They become the inspiration for her dream where a dangerous King Spider kidnaps the Gingerbread Toy and the Marzipan Doll her uncle gave her as a gift.
