Slow Smoke 2017

October 15,12-5:30pm Highland Orchard Farm's 2nd annual event where local sustainable farmers, chefs, competitive cooks and more come together to create an afternoon to celebrate local foods with a special focus on meats. Also participating is the Lord Nelson Band, Strong Water Band, Three Notch'd Brewery, Hog Haven Farm as a food vendor, and Sara from Gearhart's Chocolates with farm inspired deserts. Gate opens at noon for lunch. Complimentary samples from the competition will be available around 3:30pm. Restaurants competing are Three Penny Cafe, Lampo, and Prime 109 (Lampo's new project opening in the near future). Chef Zachary Brown from Highland Orchard Farm will also be competing along with several other competitive cooks. This all takes place at Highland Orchard Farm, a diverse regenerative working farm 20 minutes south of Charlottesville. This event location is surrounded by beautiful Mountain Views.
