Portraits In Dance
The Dance Project presents 'Portraits In Dance' at Ballet Austin's Ventures Theatre.  We are excited to feature new choreography from D. Poet Powell, Yasmin Kayce, Maddie Dalgleish, Daphne Tamir, Selena Burgener, Dr. Diana Wang, Christopher Barfield and Latisha Coffey in Contemporary, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Lyrical. The Dance Project encourages experimentation from choreographers to innovate with their own ideas of dance and create exceptional performances.
The Dance Project wants to promote the arts in Austin and welcomes challenging and fresh new ideas.  We look forward to presenting guest performances from Austin area dance companies.
Reverence Dance Project (RDP) was founded by Quinton Weathers and Dane Burch in 2011. Their goal is to bring together well-rounded artists, and to create a positive environment where all members can expand their passion for the art of dance. The companys vision is to not only bring their work to the stage, but to also capture dance on film. RDP bases their artistic creations from the talent of each member in the company, resulting in equal contribution of thoughts, visions, and works to each dance performance.
The Andrea Torres Dance Company was established in New York City in 2012.  The company then produced its first full length New York City dance show titled 'Outed'. Since then the company has been part of many festivals and benefit shows including The Brooklyn Dance festival, The White Wave Dance fest, and was invited for a demonstration and lecture at NYU to name a few. Now, Austin Texas houses this re-energized group of strong female dancers. While performing in local yearly shows, ATDC also hosts Annual Lymphoma Awareness benefit shows where part of the proceeds go to the Lymphoma Research Foundation. ATDC will also be producing their next full length show this coming season. Third Coast Contemporary, reestablished in 2012, was originally founded in 1984 by Dawn Weiss, as Third Coast Jazz. TCC is based out of Dancers Workshop, also established in 1984 by Dawn Weiss. Our mission is to speak to our audience through all styles of movement.  We strive to explore new and innovative fashions of dance performance through live performance and film. Our mission is to remain entrenched in the inspiration of communication through dance instilled within us all.


We look forward to sharing a performance that encompasses all dance genre's as an art form Austin, TX has to offer.
