An Evening of Journalism and Justice
Elected leaders do not get to choose which freedoms to protect, yet across the country, journalists and the media are being attacked while exercising First Amendment rights. Instead of being the eyes and ears of the people, the media is now being positioned as the "enemy" - almost assuring our collective inability to determine truth from lies. This is not an accident. Join those at the front of the fight to protect our right to a free press for a discussion on the current climate for media. We will discuss ways we can all help protect the 1st Amendment.
Our right to accuracy and accountability in information gathering and sharing must constantly stand under ongoing political, institutional and technological threats, and learn what you can do to help protect the 1st Amendment from political, institutional and technological threats.
