Fiendish Fairies and Devilish Dreams: A Victorian Halloween
Come on a haunting jaunt with us this Halloween, and explore the themes of fantasy, nightmare, horror and perverse sexuality. The Victorians are often believed to be a virtuous, demure and well-behaved bunch. Spend some time looking at the art created during the 19th century and youll find a very different picture. Blake, Fuseli, and Dadd were three extraordinary Victorian artists who broke the mould and created a new kind of art sometimes exquisitely beautiful, often shockingly disturbing. But always challenging us to re-evaluate the meaning of Victorian art. From fiendish fairies to devilish dreams, you wont sleep soundly after this tour.
*If you have bought more than one Art Shot ticket you can either split them up and come on a number of different Art Shots, or you can give tickets to friends to join the same Art Shot as you. Please email office@arthistoryuk.com to tell us how you'd like to use your Art Shot tickets.
