Please join us for an exciting evening with #1 New York Times bestselling author Rick Riordan presenting THE SHIP OF THE DEAD, Book Three, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard - the final book in Riordan's thrilling Norse Mythology series.
Independent New Orleans bookstore Octavia Books is presenting this program at Academy of the Sacred Heart's Nims Fine Arts Center, 4301 St. Charles Avenue, Friday, October 6, 2017 at 6:00PM. (Doors open at 5:00PM, program will start promptly at 6:00PM. Please arrive early.)
You must purchase a ticket here from Octavia Books to attend. Each ticket admits one and will be exchanged for one signed copy of Rick Riordan's THE SHIP OF THE DEAD, Book Three, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard.
About the book:
Magnus Chase, a once-homeless teen, is a resident of the Hotel Valhalla and one of Odin's chosen warriors. As the son of Frey, the god of summer, fertility, and health, Magnus isn't naturally inclined to fighting. But he has strong and steadfast friends, including Hearthstone the elf, Blitzen the dwarf, and Samirah the Valkyrie, and together they have achieved brave deeds, such as defeating Fenris Wolf and battling giants for Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Now Magnus and his crew must sail to the farthest borders of Jotunheim and Niflheim in pursuit of Asgard's greatest threat. Will they succeed in their perilous journey, or is Ragnarok lurking on the horizon?
