5Rhythms® Community Fall Equinox Live Music w/Natadas!
Special Event for 5Rhythms Sweat Your Prayers on Weds nights! We will celebrate as a community of dancers the Fall Equinox on Wed. Sept. 20th with Live Music from Natadas! Karen Chapman and Susan Campbell will co-create and lead the event! Natadas is a wonderful percussion band consisted of talented musicians who believe in giving service to dancers while playing/sharing their passion through vocals and percussion instruments!
Fall Equinox:
We are invited to kindle the light within to illuminate our way through the longer nights. This transition into Autumn when light is diminishing is calling us to align with the changes occurring in the natural would and kindle our inner light of wisdom and courage. Through our strength of will and singularity of focus we can bring our light to illuminate times of darkness. All of nature is heeding the call to go within and fine the illuminations inside!
5Rhythms Movement created by Gabrielle Roth! We invite you all to move through the transition of Summer into Fall! To feel the shedding of the summer heat through the body and feeling more crisp air on our skin finding balance within! Finding ways of motion that kindle the light within to illuminate our feet to the beat of the drums! "It takes discipline to be a Free Spirit!" Gabrielle Roth
Venue: Morris Pavillion: Warren Wilson College, 701 Warren Wilson College Rd. Swannanoa, NC 28778, from 6-8pm tickets available, fee is sliding scale $15-25, $20 would help make this event sustainable!
Community Potluck: We will gather on the Warren Wilson Pavilion Lawn right after the dance! Please bring a blanket, gluten-free, vegan dishes, salads of all kinds, cheese n crackers, chips n dips, fruits of all kinds, chocolate and water to drink for yourselves!
Agreement for our Dance Experience:
-bring your beautiful selves
-bring plenty of water to drink
-being conscious of your surroundings
-committ to movement
-no alcohol or drugs
-wear dance shoes if needed/otherwise we dance barefoot
-turn off cell phones
