Brazilian Rhythm Workshop for Instrumentalists
Visiting musicians from Natal, Brazil, Diogo and Caio from Choro de Lá pra Cá, will lead a workshop on Brazilian Rhythms as they are used in a Melodic Context.
Musicians should be able to read music/rhythmical figures. The class will explore principal rhythms/rhythmic phrases within samba, choro and other well-known Brazilian genres.
The workshop is open to all instrumentalists. Workshop fee is included in Fall Session I Chicago Choro Club tuition. Non-CCC participants can sign up in advance for $30 or on the day of the workshop for $40.
