TRAQ - St. Louis - April 8-10, 2014
WHO: Arborists that want to obtain the ISA TRAQ credential.
WHAT: This 2 1/2 day course provides the classroom training, field training, and assessments (exams) to acieve the ISA TRAQ credential. The science behind tree risk assessment has changed rapidly over the last few years. As we learn more about the science of trees and the protocol for assessing and reporting tree risk, professionals in the arboriculture industry have voiced a need for this new ISA credential. This course will provide the latest information about tree risk assessment including, target assessment, site assessment, tree biology and mechanics, levels of assessment, tree inspection and assessment, data analysis and risk categorization, mitigation, and reporting.
The course will be taught by Skip Kincaid, the Senior Consulting Urban Forester with Davey Resource Group and an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist (MW-0155BM). Skip has volunteered since 2009 on the Tree Risk Panel of Experts within ISA and helped to develop theis new credential and course materials. He has over 20 years of experience in tree risk assessment and is asked to provide assessments and appear as an expert in court for tree failure cases. Skip is also asked to speak regularly about the topic and has done so over 10 times in the last 3 years.
WHEN: The course starts on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 8:00am and ends on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at noon. This includes all class time, field time, and examination time.
