This is our follow up showcase to our very successful 2015 premiere of a new series for MEN IN DANCE. The goal of this weekend is to present choreography by artists that are new to the organization, and who may not have had the opportunity to have their work fully produced in Seattle. A second major goal of this forum is to start a conversation about what makes compelling concert dance ~ the five pieces are fully produced and presented during Act I; the audience is given an opportunity to write down their feedback between pieces. Act II consists of a panel of three dance professionals, who provide their feedback about what they have seen. Select audience feedback is also shared with the choreographers. The discussion between the panelists and choreographers is moderated, and a conversation about the strengths and weaknesses of the work ensues. One of the choreographers is chosen to participate in the 2018 Festival of MEN IN DANCE.
