Ropemaking and Coiling with Found Natural Materials
Learn rope/cord making skills and the traditional basketry skill of coiling and use these techniques to make a mat or small basket.
In this class you will get a chance to experiment with a variety of soft natural materials including grasses, rushes, leaves, seaweed.
Materials will be provided but please bring any you would like to experiment with. Any soft materials can be tried eg. grasses, rushes, or climbers like bindweed. It is best if they have dried out a bit rather than are freshly cut.
