Kirsten Small is a specialist obstetrician / gynaecologist, gardener and cat lover from Queensland, Australia. She teaches in the Midwifery team at Griffith University and is completing a PhD that looks at the influence of central fetal monitoring systems on power in maternity care.
Kirsten will give us all a short presentation followed by a discussion of the evidence around the use of continuous fetal monitoring and the issues surrounding this tool.
Tickets are strictly limited so book soon to avoid disappointment. The ticket price includes tea and biscuits and is £12.18 (inc service fee) and £8.04 concession. Proceeds benefit the charity work of the Pregnancy and Parents Centre directly. Please feel free to arrive 20 minutes before the event to get a cuppa and to meet others.
There will be chairs available for those who need them, and pillows/stools for use on the floor for others.
