FLAMENCO DENVER WORKSHOPS
Antonio will be teaching technique: footwork, arms, turns and 'marcajes'.
Estefania Ramirez will be teaching Choreography by 'Tientos'
Antonio Granjero,a native of Jerez de la Frontera (Spain), Granjero has danced Flamenco in more than a dozen countries all over the world for the last few decades.
He has performed for Queen Elizabeth II of England, and danced in such prestigious settings as the National Theatre of Panama, The International Dance Festivals of Bordeaux (France), the International Exposition (Expo 92) in Seville, New York Citys Joyce Theatre and the Seattle Opera.
He is currently the Artistic Director at Entre Flamenco Dance Space. In 2010 he was awarded a Choreography Grant from the Artist Foundation of San Antonio for the production of Flamenco Del Sur.
Estefania Ramirez,began dancing at the early age of four. In her teen years. Upon completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and Dance at the University of New Mexico, she toured in the U.S. and Canada with Pablo Rodarte's Dance España and after that with MARIA BENITEZ TEATRO FLAMENCO
In Spain she has worked as a dance professor at the Centro Valenciano de Danza .She founded and directed the JORNADAS FLAMENCAS, an annual flamenco music and dance festival in Castellón de la Plana. She has also participated as the co-director of TEMPLE sharing bills with artists of the calibre as Diego El Cigala, Miguel Poveda, and Tomatito.
Estefania has been featured as the principal female soloist with Carlota Santana Flamenco Vivo Company touring thorough Colombia and North America. She is the Co-Director of Entre Flamenco Company with Antonio Granjero. With EF, she has been awarded 2010 Chorrography award from the Artist Foundation of San Antonio.
