MSW Holiday Concert Series
Main Stage West proudly presents a holiday line up of musical excellence ranging from acoustic folk to jazz to the romantic songs of nineteenth century Europe. Five concerts will be held from December 7 16 at the intimate space on Main Street in Sebastopol in the homey Irish Pub left on stage from the theater's recent hit production of THE WEIR. MSW invites the public to join them for live music, warm friendship and a seasonal cup of cheer.
12/7 PRISMA TROVA "SIMPLE SONGS. SOULFUL HARMONIES." Delight in melodies and rhythms pulled from here and there, a tapestry woven from the delicate colors of acoustic instruments and the rich texture of blended voices. The set is a mix of original songs and covers sung in English, French, and Spanish. Prisma Trova flows through a variety of styles with the skill of seasoned entertainers
12/8 DAVE MACNAB, JOHN SHIFFLET & JASON LEWIS PLAY JAZZ Three of the Bay Area's master musicians gather in MSW's intimate space for a dynamic night of jazz filled with deep grooves and subtle interplay. Don't miss this chance to hear cutting edge jazz in an intimate setting right in your own hometown. The trio features Dave Mac Nab on guitar, John Schifflet on bass and Jason Lewis on drums.
12/14 PUSH BUTTON ZEBCO is MSW's own unique musical creation featuring Heritage Music Theater favorites Mary Gannon Graham (ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE, WOODY GUTHRIE'S AMERICAN SONG) and her husband, Thomas Graham along with HMT special guests Allison Rae Baker, Joan Hawley, Jim Peterson, Stuart Rabinowitsh & Tim Sarter.
12/15 THE SKERRIES is an instrumental band led by master guitarist and composer Bill Horvitz, with Scott Walton on acoustic bass, and Tom Hayashi on drums. The Skerries will present an evening of all-original instrumental jazz, folk, and rock-based music. Bill Horvitz's long and varied experience as a guitarist and composer has resulted in a strongly original compositional voice.
12/16 DUE ZIGHI BACI "CHESTNUTS ROASTING ON THE CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES" Due Zighi Baci transports you to an old sidewalk café on the Champs Elysées in "Gay Paree" with their authentic, enchanting renditions of popular European salon music dating back to the 1850s. Artfully arranged by accordionist Sheri Mignano and interpreted with passion by the lyrical tenor Michael Van Why and guest vocalist Valentina Osinski, Due Zighi Baci takes you away. . As we are an extremely intimate, small theater there is NO LATE SEATING. Please make arrangements to arrive before the beginning of the show as it is not fair to the performers and the other patrons.
