The Irving Theater
Indianapolis, IN
Share this event:

Members of King Crimson, Shriekback and Gabriels original band bring these genre-less masterpieces into the 21st Century. Seattleites Trey Gunn and Michael Cozzi join esteemed drummer Jerry Marotta and NY keyboardist David Jameson to harness the core of these songs. Added to the pedigree of these players is the voice of Happy Rhodes. Her 4-octave range is the latest addition to this mesmerizing group.

35 years ago, in 1982, Jerry Marotta performed with Peter Gabriel in Bloomington, as part of the SECURITY tour.  Marotta returns to Indy to celebrate that album, and the music of Peter Gabriel

The Security Project Live is a beautifully reverential and creative reinterpretation of this Peter Gabriel Classic !  Kevin Killen, engineer of Gabriels So record

The Security Project expertly reimagines Peter Gabriels groundbreaking early output, creating an immersive experience both in performance and on its debut release Live 1. The group goes far beyond conventional tribute band territory, infusing the songs with new arrangements and elements while staying true to the spirit of the material. Gabriel enthusiasts across the board will be taken by the bands high-octane approach full of drive, determination and energy.  Anil Prasad, Innerviews

Opening for The Security Project will be Canadian duo Big Little Lions.  Ensemble of the Year - Canadian Folk Music Awards 2015

"The music of Big Little Lions  the duo of Helen Austin and Paul Otten  is a blissful marriage of new folk and sophisticated pop. The award-winning songwriters have voices that blend like magic and whenever they make music together it's the cue for a heady mixture of soul, spirit and fun." - Mariposa Folk Festival
