OPC Summer Music Academy: Percussion from the African Diaspora
This special 2-week percussion intensive will introduce students to drumming from West Africa, Cuba, Peru, Haiti, Zimbabwe and the United States. Students will learn to play conga drums, djembe, Zimbabwean marimbas, and drumset. They will present a community concert on July 27th 6pm.
Classes are Monday thru Friday 9am - 3pm
July 17th to July 28th.
There will be a community concert showcasing the students' learning July 27th at 6pm
