Around the World in 8 Courses Pop Up Dinner
The Barnett on Washington will be hosting the Around the World in 8 Courses Pop Up Dinner this upcoming Sunday, June 4th at 7 pm. We are very excited to be hosting such a unique event at our venue, and to get the opportunity to showcase popular dishes from around the World.
Robin Wheeler will be our guest chef for the evening. Robin is the owner of Subterranean Homemade Foods, and is a well-known chef in the Saint Louis community. She teaches cooking classes to groups of all ages, cooks for various events, and loves being involved in charity based fundraisers. Robin has hand selected popular dishes from Haiti, Chile, Cambodia, Indonesia, Camaroon, Iceland, Ukraine, and Syria for this particular pop up dinner. We will also be joined by Advanced Sommelier, Andrey Ivanov, from Reeds American Table. Andrey has been a regular judge for the Missouri State Wine Competition, as well as the Jefferson Cup Invitational hosted by Master Sommelier Doug Frost. He is an annual volunteer at the TEXSOM beverage conference and the TEXSOM International Wine Awards. He also works as a contributor for the Guild of Sommeliers and owns his own wine sales consulting company, Wines Without Borders.
Andrey has hand selected some of the best wines according to flavor, to accompany each of Robins tasty global courses.
Cocktail hour will start at 6 pm, and dinner will follow at 7 pm. Tickets will be $80 and will include a 8 course meal, and a wine pairing with each dish.
