MSSPA Presents: Tartuffe a play by Moliere
People aren't always who they seem...
The play Tartuffe explores religious hypocrisy. Tartuffe appears to be a devout and humble man, although we learn through the course of the play that he is a conniving and dishonest swindler. In this production the audience will see projections in the background that echo religious scandals and swindlers of our past. The costumes too can span a number of years. Characters may take on a look from the images we see in the background, or a mannerism from video footage. A French Neoclassical Comedy.
