VIBE SESSIONS MAY 4,2017

I did a survey of my friends on the Sacramento night life scene. 90% complained of the lack of creative options for mature people to attend. The other 10% said they don't go out at all. Currently, the only consistent venues that we have at our disposal are on the outskirts of town, and usually have alot of older folks mixed into the crowd. Older folks are cool, it makes you feel safe and all that, but I don't want to be in a club where someone might ask "how's your mom doing? Haven't seen her since high school" lol.....

So I sat, thought about what I would want to experience in a club atmosphere. I love neo soul, rare grooves, GOOD hip hop, and songs that are not being overplayed on the radio. I'd love to dance to some Anderson Paak in a club.

I also thought about what else I would like to experience....I love live music, and I also love art. Back in the day, I held events that featured all of the above, and it was a massive hit. The only thing that ended our shows was the venue (Table 260) went out of business.

So now I have an opportunity to take over a night at a local club. Midtown Barfly has given us a "test night" on May 4th to see what kind of atmosphere we can bring to their establishment. If (When) this night goes well, we will have a chance to negotiate for a regular event.

I have assembled one of the best DJ's in Sac, along with some of the best artists I could find...come support it!!

Where else can you go and get an art show, PLUS dj, PLUS live music?
