The Last Days of Judas Iscariot
From Pulitzer Prize winning dramatist Stephen Adly Guirgus, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot imagines the trial of Judas Iscariot known best as the killer of Jesus. The trial, set in a contemporary purgatory modeled after New York City, brings in satirized expert witnesses such as Sigmund Freud, Pontus Pilate, Simon the Zealot, and even Satan. With only 10 actors playing over 25 parts, this reimagined and hilarious staging uses elements of farce, archetype, and models itself after an evening at an improv club to demonstrate the fragility that lies within power.
