Gospel Singing workshop and concert with Kathy Bullock
Kathy Bullock has visited Findhorn 3 times before and almost literally raised the roof with her passion, enthusiasm, joy and incredible musicianship. This event is the first stop on a 3 week UK tour.
Kathy is a Professor of Music at Berea College, Kentucky where she has worked for the past twenty-three years. She has earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in Music Theory from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and a B.A. in Music from Brandeis University, MA.
She conducts workshops and other music programs in gospel music and gospel piano at schools, camps, churches and civic organizations in the United States, Europe and Africa.
The day workshop will be learning and singing a number of African-American gospel songs and may also include something from her African song repertoire. The evening event "an evening with Kathy Bullock" will be a participatory event sharing the songs learnt during the day as well as a short presentation about the history of Gospel music.
There will be a break for lunch (not provided).
