Xanadu: A Fantasy Roller Disco
A muse is a person or personified force who is the source of inspiration for a creative artist. In Greek and Roman mythology, the nine daughters of Zeus and Mnemosynegoddesses who presided over the arts and scienceswere known as muses.
Xanadu, the 1980 romantic fantasy film and 2007 Broadway musical, is about an artist trapped in a dull job and a Greek muse who inspires the creation of the first ever roller disco. It is a story of love, laughter, jealousy, and roller skates!
Camp Beemore invites you to travel with us back to the 1980s, to Xanadu, a nightclub, a fantasy, a place where dreams come true, where time stops and the magic never ends!
Put on your skates and your leg warmers, your toga or your tiara (insert more costume ideas here) and prepare for a night of music, adventure, dancing, and fantasy. Maybe YOU will find your muse.
