Eli Weinberg's: This Land is My Land
THIS LAND IS MY LAND is an adventurous and daring attempt at integrating dance, theater, music and art to discover and trace the legacy of land ownership, appropriation, demarcation and exploitation in the Santa Cruz County since the establishment of the Santa Cruz Mission in 1791. The performance will transport audience members from one historical era to the next, winding and weaving a story of challenges, staunch perspectives and blatant contradictions relating to how inhabitants of this particular region have viewed and identified with the physical terrain, and how these perspectives shape the way we see and imagine Santa Cruz today.
