Arapaho Valley Ranch Bluegrass Camp Out
It all started 3 years ago as an intimate family gathering of Bluegrass enthusiasts
After an amazing weekend long camp out and memories to last a lifetime, we couldn't bare to keep this to ourselves.

This weekend long camp out is dedicated to everyone who has helped Arapaho Valley Ranch along the way, and a tribute to generations of families who have spent their lives enjoying music, sharing it with others, and forging a community of amazing people!

If you received an invitation to this page it means that someone loves you very much!!!

With this invitation, you are invited to become part of the Arapaho Valley Ranch family and join us for this amazing intimate gathering!
3 nights of Bluegrass and camping in one of the most beautiful places in the country!

This is an invite only camp out and we feel it is so much more meaningful as an intimate gathering rather than a massive festival, QUALITY over QUANTITY!!!

Important information about AVR:
FIRES:
No personal open fires of any kind.  We have designated fire pits that can be used for grilling, marshmallows, etc.  Personal camping stoves are allowed.  There is an extreme fire risk in our environment and we are quite far from any fire departments - so this is a very important rule to follow!
SMOKING:
Please distinguish cigarette butts in a responsible manner.  Butts can be thrown in our fire pits but please do not liter our beautiful property with cigarette butts.
ALCOHOL
Absolutely no underage drinking at AVR!!!  Personal campers may BYOB.  AVR has a liquor license throughout the entire Lodge, Lodge decks and patios.  You may not bring personal alcohol anywhere in the Lodge, or on the Lodge decks or patios.  The Red Dog Saloon located in the Lodge has beer, wine and spirits and we would love and appreciate your support during your stay!  Unlimited Bloody Mary Bar on Saturday!!!
PARKING:
For some of our campsites you may park your car next to your tent. Many of our campsites are located in areas where we do not permit cars to be parked.  We will help you figure this out when you arrive, since campsites are on a first come first serve basis.  We do have a large parking lot for cars and after unloading your gear at your campsite, please keep your car parked in the parking lot.
FOOD:
There is a possibility we will be providing food available for purchase for this weekend (TBA soon!) most likely dinners only on Friday and Saturday nights.  The rest of your meals are completely up to you - please bring everything you need for your stay!  We have a small store on site selling ice, beverages, and some snacks.
TRASH:
We do not have trash services on site.  Please prepare to haul out all of your own trash.  During your stay.  We strongly recommend keeping your trash in your car or some sort of bear proof, tightly fastened container.  All used food products can be placed in our fire pits to be burned.  These actions help minimize the chance of uninvited wildlife attending our shindig.
DOGS:
Dogs are allowed for personal tent/camper/RV camping only.  Dogs are not allowed in any of our buildings (Lodge, Tipis, Glamping Tents, Bathrooms, etc)  We count on dog owners to prevent their dog from making excessive noise and being disruptive or aggressive to other guests.  If your dog is deemed dangerous, harmful or disruptive, Arapaho Valley Ranch has sole discretion to require you to find other accommodations or call animal control if necessary.  We will provide referrals to local doggie care services if needed.
MUSIC:
Outdoor music will begin Thursday evening and run through Sunday morning.  We have our neighboring campground across the street who has quiet hours starting at 10pm.
We will shut down the outdoor music each night by around 10 or 11pm in consideration of our neighbors.  Music will continue inside our Lodge after that.  Please help us be respectful of our neighbors and minimize outdoor noise after 10pm.
WEATHER:
AVR is at 9,000 feet.  Normal afternoon showers visit us almost every day and subside very quickly.  It is rare, but we are in the mountains, and all types of weather are possible up here - make sure you are prepared with the right clothing and gear for your stay.
WATER Features:
Arapaho Valley Ranch is surrounded by Rivers, Lakes and Streams.  All children under 12years old are to be accompanied by adults at all times.  We are not responsible for any accidental injuries/drownings/death associated with water exposure.   Please be careful.
We have our own fishing pond stocked with trout.  It is for children and amateur adults only.  We ask that you limit fishing to two fish caught per person.  You are responsible for cleaning your own fish.  Please do not clean fish in our Lodge bathrooms or our shower house.  There is no license required to fish in our private pond. The South Fork of the Colorado River runs alongside our property and there is over a mile of private access for fishing. A fishing license is required for the Colorado River and can be obtained through the state of Colorado website.  Swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding and other water activities at our pond and in the river are at your own risk.  Children under 12yrs of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
POWER:
Arapaho Valley Ranch is an off grid resort, which means that we generate our own electricity, have our own water, and are not hooked into local utilities.  Occasionally electricity and water may not be operational due to routine maintenance and repair when necessary.  Bringing extra water, flashlights, is recommended.
WILDLIFE:
We live amongst various types of various including but not limited to: Bears, Moose, Foxes, Coyotes, Mountain Lions, Whistle Pigs (marmots), Deer, Elk, and Bats.  Please use common sense around wildlife and do not approach wildlife in any way.  Please ask our staff for any questions regarding the wildlife we have seen in the area during your time at Arapaho Valley Ranch.  We are not responsible for careless behavior around wildlife.  Keep a close eye on your children.

Arapaho Valley Ranch is located 45 minutes from the nearest emergency and Fire departments.  Granby is 17 miles away, and contains the nearest grocery store.  Grand Lake is 20 miles away.  If any of your guests have medical problems, special needs, etc., please plan accordingly.
County Road 6 is a well-maintained dirt road that winds along Lake Granby for about 9 miles.  Please use caution driving on this road.  There are significant drop offs without guard-rails.  The best speed to drive on this road is around 25 mph and the scenery is gorgeous.  Drivers taking pictures and sightseeing should pull over safely to do this and pay close attention while driving down this road.  We do not recommend driving this road at night, but if it is necessary, slower speeds are recommended.
Arapaho Valley Ranch does provide wireless internet in the LODGE, however it is not high speed and is not optimal for downloading, streaming music or uploading information.
Checking e-mail works just fine, but other types of media is very slow and inconvenient.  We strongly recommend unplugging during your stay!
Cell service is minimal.  The best service by far seems to be Verizon.

We can't wait to see you this summer and thanks for supporting us!
