Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire
YCP THEATERWORKS: RABBIT HOLE
YCP TheaterWorks will present Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire from April 28 through May 7. The winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, this compelling play portrays the daily lives of an "average" family dealing with a devastating loss. The story begins eight months afterward. Becca and Howie are still inwardly grieving their son, but are in different phases. They struggle to come together while dealing with everyday life. Sister Izzy fumbles her way through day to day, with often comic results. Mom Nat tries to help the family cope, but manages to just get on everyone's nerves. Add to that teenaged Jason, who is trying to connect with Becca in an attempt to deal with unresolved guilt at his part in the accident, and emotional fireworks ensue. Touching, humorous and real, definitely not a weep-fest, Rabbit Hole will stay with you.
Rabbit Hole is directed by Larry Schneider, with the acting talent of Phil Garfinkel, Phyllis Kirigin, Kyan Muendell, Karen Symington Muendell, Ralph Vandamme and Donna L. White. Performances will be on April 28, 29 May 5, 6 at 8:00 pm April 30 and May 7 at 2:00 pm at the United Methodist Church Parish Hall, 1176 East Main St., Shrub Oak, NY 10588.
