Overview: Its not very often a new local government organization is decreed by the state governor, but after each decennial census a new Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is required by the federal government if a certain population threshold is met. Urbanized! A New Metropolitan Planning Organization in Arizona is a discussion about the requirement and implications of establishing an MPO.
Presenter: Dan Coxworth, AICP, is the Administrator of the Sierra Vista Metropolitan Planning Organization (SVMPO). Dan has over 15 years of experience in land use planning, transportation planning, and geographic information systems.
