RISE
"OUR STRENGTH COMES TO US FROM THE BOTTOMS OF OUR FEET. THROUGH THE EARTH, THROUGH THE FLOOR." -Alvin Ailey
Come explore what it means to move your body with the purpose of acknowledging and working towards healing personal trauma. Dancers, non-dancers, movers, shakers, explorers, and curious wonderers are all welcome. We will begin our workshop with deep breathwork and intention setting. After using Modern dance techniques and yoga to warm up, we will learn a piece of choreography that you are encouraged to stylize to how your body organically moves. No prior dance experience is required. We will close our workshop with Shamanic dancing and a white fire ceremony where you will have the chance to realease whatever no longer serves you.
Lately, and especially through her yoga and Buddhist practices, along with ancient Shamanic practices, Camille has had the opportunity to work through some of her own personal trauma and understands the importance of this kind of work. Her gentle approach is designed to make everyone not just feel welcome, but to also feel safe as we explore the depths of who we are and come to terms with some of the traumas of our lives, both past and present.
Cost - $20
What to bring - yourself, a friend, the desire to move and heal with an open heart
This workshop is for women only and you must be at least 16 years old to participate. Please feel free to post questions here or private message me
