Big World Band will present an evening concert embracing the Canadian mosaic and opening doors to new groundbreaking repertoire. Our music embraces the many cultures that make up Canada, paving the way for a truly Canadian sound. The Big World band create an intimate evening of acoustic music for 7 plucked stringed instruments from the Silk Road plus percussion: barbat, tombak and daf (Iran), pipa and ruan (China), sitar and tabla (India), guitar (Spain) and bass guitar. Featuring the World Premiere of a new work by Canadian composer Scott Godin.
